here's how it lies so far:

gary's pure tour is scheduled to reach our shores beginning april 17. there is a date this march when gary will perform as part of a music convention in texas featuring several artists (including the johnny dowd band from here in ithaca!).

instead of tour programmes, gary will make available a special 72-minute cd called purified featuring 50 questions and answers, and 5 clips of songs, 3 of which never made it to the pure cd.

happy valentines' day!  okay, here we go gang.  the first two shows have been confirmed.  terrence thoman wrote in with a heads up for the philadelphia show on the 19th of april. enjoy the church of gary numan cd, terrence!  also, there is another confirmed show in the windy city of chicago on april 28.  tickets for that show go on sale on february 17th at 10:00 am.

woohoo!  it's 2001: a pure tour odyssey! there is another confirmed date for your numan concert-attending pleasure.  zerfboy@aol.com has enlightened me to the fact that the pure tour will be paying a stop to washington, dc on april 17th.  enjoy the free church disc, zerf!  as it looks to me now, this will be where the tour will kick-off in this hemisphere.  tickets will go on sale on february 15th.

the nagnfc pure tour road report continues.  paul catala has interviewed gary at a soundcheck and has been kind enough to send the interview for jim collins' and my combined efforts for this page.  this will be posted here as soon as possible.  during the interview, gary even gives a shout out to jim and me!

boston has been added!  gary would have been crazy not to play boston.  when i mailed the monthly nagnfc fanzines in the pre-internet days, boston had the most subscribers outside of southern california!  here's hoping the club is huge this time around, so everyone who wants to can get the chance to see him!

the oft-asked question to me has been answered.  gary will have an opening band for the shows in the form of 'gwenmars'.  gary is confident the band will appeal to numan enthusiasts.

john gullidge, a fellow numanoid from england (and fellow south park fan), is flying to denver to ride to all the west coast shows with me.  john is arriving a day early and would be forever grateful if someone in the know could help out with some info about motels in boulder, or the frequency of public transport from denver to boulder.  help out a numan fan traveling thousands of miles to party with us by clicking here.

there will be a pre-show party listing soon for san francisco.  a couple of numanoids wrote today expressing an interest in holding the party.  perhaps you could help them out and suggest a spot for them?  they wrote today:

What's up? Yes, I called you Mach Five on purpose :) Anyway, as you may or may not know, I'm a pretty young numan fan (16). This San Francisco show is gonna' be my very first Numan show. I'm pretty excited. Anyway, my friend Eric (Numan009@aol.com) and I wanted to put together a pre show party. I was just wondering how that sounded to you since you ARE the sultan of like...pre show parties and such. Can you help? or is it the other way around (can we help)? But anyway, how would we go abouts meeting up with the local numanoids? Please do keep in mind I am in a way "Nu-Fish" so to speak so I'm not too familiar with the other numanoids. I've never really been around a Numanoid in real life. So, clue me in Jim. Thanks!

well that's it then.  i am blasting off in 4 hours to traverse the continent and will not be back home for a month!  there will be no further updates to this page.  i hope you have found it fun and informative.  it certainly was a pleasure to create this tour page for you.  and it was a blast receiving all your letters every day describing your loss of sleep as you count down the minutes until gary arrives in your town.  i am looking very forward to meeting each of you at the pre-show gatherings and the shows.  my work here is done, now for the sights and sounds of GARY NUMAN!!!
